  Here it goes, another unhappy customer!!!! We went to the shop to cancel my husband monthly contract and change it to a pre paid. We explained very clearly that we were keeping his phone just to receive calls (and very rarely ) and nothing else. The $ 30 recharge, we said that very clearly, was expected to last us 6 months. After 1 week we received the message from Telstra that the phone had no credit left. WHAT????? Never used once. Went back to Telstra and their candid answer was that of course, the phone uses internet data even when unused, sitting on a desk. SO, going back to when we explained to them in perfectly clear, simple English why we wanted to switch from a $ 40 monthly to a $ 30 prepaid for 6 months, shouldn't they switch their brain on and just tell us what was going to happen???? Customers go to the shop to speak to the experts and have the best advise and in our case it was just a big waste of time and money. So, in conclusion, if you need some expert advice, simply don't go to the telstra Maryborough shop.
